Almere en ik moeten nog aan elkaar wennen.
Het is een proces.
De ziel van de stad voelt anders dan andere steden.
Het is zich nog aan het ontdekken en ontwikkelen.
De stad is erg praktisch en functioneel.
Maar dat betekent niet automatisch dat het hier plezierig wonen is.
Ik geloof dat jouw karakter, normen en waarden die je van huis uit meekrijgt, niet per se veranderen.
Ook niet als je naar een ander land verhuist.
De nieuwe cultuur heeft wel invloed op jou als persoon.
Maar je verandert hoe dan ook.
Jouw kernwaarden veranderen niet ineens in een ander land.

Almere and I are still getting used to each other.
It’s a process.
The soul of this city feels different to other cities I’ve lived in.
It’s still finding its feet, developing.
It’s a very practical and functional city.
This doesn’t automatically mean that it’s all fun and games.
I don’t think that your character and values that you grow up with, really change in time.
Not even when you move abroad.
Nevertheless, a new culture does influence you somewhat though.
Thus you adjust.
Your core values don’t just suddenly change in another country though.
