Binnen Pakistan wordt de Ahmadiyya Moslim Gemeenschap waar ik onderdeel van ben niet geaccepteerd.
Het is bij wet verboden.
Er is veel verdeeldheid binnen het land. Dat schuurt soms.
Het is een mentaliteit waar ik mij niet in kan herkennen.
We zijn allemaal in eerste instantie mens.
Mijn leidraad is, zoals de Heilige Koran beschrijft:
Zolang je de rechten naar de mens toe niet vervuld, zul je de rechten naar God ook niet kunnen vervullen.
De basis is voor mij altijd liefde en respect. Ook als ik het niet eens ben met je.
Liefde voor iedereen, haat voor niemand.

In Pakistan, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, to which I belong, is not accepted at all.
It’s actually even prohibited by law.
There’s a whole lot of divisiveness in Pakistan.
It’s a kind of mentality that I do not recognise myself in.
Fundamentally though, we are all humans.
I’m guided by what’s written in the Holy Quran:
If you do not fulfil the rights of man, you won’t be able to fully fulfil your obligations towards God.
Bottom line for me will always be, love and respect.
Even if I actually disagree with you.Love for all, hatred for none.
